Rockwell Diamonds' CEO Turns Around as Problems Continue
July 19, 17(IDEX Online) – Problems continue to pile up at Rockwell Diamonds, where CEO Tjaart Willemse has stepped down after being brought in to rescue the South Africa-focused firm.
Stephen Le Roux has been employed to lead Rockwell’s Middle Orange River operations, as reported previously, and Le Roux and Chief Financial Officer Johan Oosthuizen will oversee the day-to-day executive management responsibilities of Rockwell and along with the business rescue practitioners the underlying subsidiaries.
The company posted no revenue for the quarter ended May 31, and a loss of $2.7 million.
