Blue Nile Annual Sales $203 Million

Online jewelry and diamond retailer Blue Nile enjoyed a 20 percent jump in sales last year, totaling $203.17 million. Net income for the year is up over 31 percent to $13.153 million. Annual gross profits total $45.144 million.

In addition to its main site, Blue Nile operates a Canadian site and a U.K. site. The two generated $3.3 million in sales during the year.

The e-commerce company reported that most of its goods are purchased and in its inventory. Only a portion is bought from diamond and jewelry firms following an online purchase by clients.

At the end of the fiscal year, Blue Nile had an inventory of $629,000 loose diamonds and $11.135 million in jewelry and watches.
