The IDEX Online Polished Price Report for January 9, 2014

(IDEX Online News) – Following the holiday sales season and ahead of the Chinese New Year, there was increased activity in round diamonds, with many rises in smaller sizes, but declines or no changes in the bigger stones, according to this week's IDEX Online Price Report.

Meanwhile, activity in fancy shape diamonds was relatively thin, with slightly more decliners than rises.

• 0.23-0.29 cts J-L / VVS2 rises of 3-5%
• 0.30-0.39 cts D-G / VS1-SI2 rising

• 0.45-0.49 cts many increases in top colors, medium clarities
• 0.50-0.69 cts D-J / SI1 rises of 2-4%

• 1.00-1.24 cts M-N / SI1 rises of 3%
