Belgian Businesses are Latest to Join RJC Certification Scheme
December 12, 11(IDEX Online News) – Three Antwerp-based diamond cutting and polishing manufacturers have become the latest businesses to join the Responsible Jewellery Council’s (RJC) growing list of certified companies. The newest additions to have achieved ethical, human rights, social and environmental certification are Karp Impex NV , KGK Diamonds BVBA and Mishal NV .
Peter Warbrick from SGS carried out the assessment of Karp Impex NV. "Karp Impex NV is delighted to receive this honor of being certified to the RJC standard. This certification is an important step in our journey to be a responsible member of the international gem and jewelry community with total commitment to following the ethical, social and environmental practices as laid down by the standard,” said the company’s director, Pankaj Virani.
The assessment of KGK Diamonds BVBA was also carried out by Peter Warbrick from SGS. “As a global brand it is absolutely vital to become a member of the RJC which further endorses everything we say to our customers about our diamonds,” said KGK Diamonds BVBA managing director Sandeep Kothari.
