HRD Antwerp Extending Certification Services to Diamond Jewelry
November 09, 09
HRD Antwerp is extending its certification services, offering in Europe a special Jewellery Report for diamond jewelry. The Jewellery Report provides details on the weight of the jewel and the precious metals used in it, the number of diamonds set in the jewel and their 4C characteristics - cut, carat, color and clarity.
Each report includes a high-quality color photograph of the jewelry piece and the same security features included in the full HRD Antwerp Diamond Certificate: a watermark, an embossed logo, fluo marks and micro text.
The report is offered in two variations: a compact report for smaller pieces up to 0.99 carat and a jewelry report for larger pieces. Reports for larger pieces have an additional detailed picture of the jewelry item.
“By providing jewelry retailers with an independent, objective analysis of the jewel, we want to further support customer confidence, which is our first priority,” said HRD Antwerp General Manager Georges Brys.
The first diamond jewelry report by HRD Antwerp was offered to Chinese Vice-President Xi Jinping, during his visit to HRD Antwerp’s Diamond Lab and Antwerp World Diamond Centre on October 9.
