Gymnast Biles Shows off 546-Diamond GOAT Medal
August 04, 24(IDEX Online) - Gymnast Simone Biles celebrated her historic sixth Olympic gold medal by revealing the diamond-encrusted GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) necklace she'd commissioned in anticipation of the achievement.
The US champion, aged 27, broke her country's 120-year-old record at the Paris event, as the only gymnast ever to win six golds. She then went on to win a seventh.
All of that, in addition to four golds, one silver and two bronze medals from Tokyo and Rio (2020 and 2016) and 30 World Championship medals, makes her the most decorated gymnast in World Championships history.
The white gold three-dimensional GOAT necklace is shaped like a goat and includes 546 F / VS diamonds and was created by Janet Heller Fine Jewelry, based in California, USA.
"This necklace is a glittering tribute to Biles' numerous accomplishments, including her multiple Olympic gold medals and a record-breaking number of World Championship medals," said Heller.
The company also made her an Olympic rings necklace.
Biles said: "They always call me the GOAT, so I thought it would be really special if I got one made."
