IDEX Price Report for 1 April: Mixed Picture for Rounds and Fancies
April 01, 25
(IDEX Online) - Prices showed less positive movement during March than they did in February, when fancies performed particularly well. That's despite reports of lower inventories and rising sentiment.
Rounds
Price gains dominated in 4.00-cts to 5.99-cts, primarily among D-F colors, and, to a lesser extent, among J-N. Goods sized 1.50-cts to 3.99-cts saw an even mix of gains and losses. Among smaller goods, including1.00-cts to 1.25-cts, there was little movement, although there was a cluster of price rises (G+ / VS2+) in 1.25-cts to 1.49-cts.
Fancies
A mixed picture during March, following on from some notable price rises in February. There were losses in goods up to 0.44-cts and a cluster of price drops among 1.50-cts to 1.99-cts. Goods from 2.00-cts to 5.99-cts saw an even mix of gains and losses.
