53-ct Fancy Vivid Yellow Could Sell for $3.5m

(IDEX Online) - A 53.14-carat fancy vivid yellow diamond is expected to fetch $2.4m to $3.5m (CHF 2.15m to CHF 3.1m) when it's offered for sale by Phillips Geneva next month.
The internally flawless gem, described as "a true masterpiece of exceptional colour and brilliance," is set in a pendant with a white diamond and will lead the Geneva Jewels Auction: IV event.
Another highlight at the sale is a pair of Type IIa, D-color, IF diamonds weighing 10.92 carats and 10.58 carats (estimate $1.4m to $1.8m, CHF 1.25m to CHF 1.6m).
"Following the outstanding results achieved for coloured gemstones in 2024, we are particularly excited to present a superb selection this season," said Benoit Repellin, Phillips' worldwide head of jewelry.
The auction will also feature colored gemstones, and pieces by Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Bulgari, Graff, and Buccellati. as well as pieces of historical significance.
Highlights of the auction will be shown in Hong Kong, New York, Singapore, London and Geneva, before the auction on 12 May.
