(IDEX Online) - Taylor Swift's latest video showcases highlights from Elizabeth Taylor's iconic diamond collection.
They include standout pieces gifted by two of her seven husbands, Mike Todd and Richard Burton.
The video to the track Elizabeth Taylor, from her 2025 album The Life of a Showgirl, was released on 31 March.
It is a three-and-a-half minute montage of archive clips from 12 of Taylor's films from Julia Misbehaves (1948) to Boom! (1968) and including Cleopatra (1963) and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958). Swift does not appear on screen in the video.
Among the items seen on screen are:
- A diamond Tiara (c.1880) from Mike Todd (third husband) that appeared in Rhapsody (1954). Sold for $4.2 million at Christie's New York in 2011.
- A 33.19-carat Asscher-cut Krupp Diamond Ring bought by Burton (fifth/sixth husband) and seen in Boom! (1968). Sold for $8.8 million at Christie's New York in 2011.
- A Cartier Burmese ruby/diamond suite, gift from Todd, appears in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958).
- La Peregrina Pearl (50+ carats, irregular pear): Gift from Burton.
Elizabeth Taylor (1932 to 2011) became Hollywood's ultimate icon, won two Best Actress Oscars and was famed for her love of diamonds.
Christie's auction of her vast jewelry collection, shortly after her death, shattered all records for a single-owner collection and raised $156.8 million across 269 lots.
