Pandora Opens World's Biggest Jewelry Factory
October 07, 26
(IDEX Online) - Pandora has opened a $150 million jewelry factory in Vietnam, which it describes it as the world's largest fine-jewelry crafting facility.
The company's first production facility outside Thailand will eventually account for about one-third of its global production capacity, it says.
The Ho Chi Minh City facility, officially opened on October 1, will increase the Danish group's manufacturing capacity by 50% and eventually employ 7,000 people. It can produce up to 60 million pieces of jewelry a year. Pandora sold 112 million pieces in 2025.
It is Pandora's fourth factory and marks "an important new chapter," the company said.
Pandora CEO Berta de Pablos-Barbier said the company chose Vietnam because of its skilled workforce, jewelry-making tradition, infrastructure and business environment.
The company has previously said that having its crafting facilities exclusively in Thailand elevated the risk of supply disruption.
The plant occupies a 7.5-hectare site in the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park III in Ho Chi Minh City, with more than 50,000 square meters of buildings. It is expected to employ about 1,000 people by the end of this year before eventually reaching 7,000 when fully operational.
