Italian Brands Rosato and Calgaro Merge

Italian jewelry brands Rosato and Calgaro have joined forces, merging as a means to help both companies ride out the challenging economic conditions that have battered the Italian gold industry, Rosato announced in a media release.
Neither company has released financials details of the deal, but Calgaro will remain in
"Both companies will continue to operate independently in terms of design, product development and brand strategy," Rosato spokesperson Stefania Marchesi said in the release.
Rosato, founded in 2004 by Simona Rosato, has built its name on sterling silver fashion jewelry as well as distinctive gold and enamel charms. Meanwhile, Calgaro, founded in 2000 by Giuseppe Calgaro and Monica Fin, is known for its woven, fabric-like gold and silver jewelry.

Rosato srl, the umbrella company for the two brands, as well as for the unbranded goldsmith firm 7ar, also recently announced the appointment of Andrea Missiroli as its new worldwide commercial director.
