Ed Hrabak Tapped as Sterling’s New VP and COO

(IDEX Online News) – Sterling Jewelers Inc. has made a series of changes to its managerial lineup. Ed Hrabak, former senior vice president Merchandising and General Merchandise manager, succeeds Bill Montalto as executive vice president and COO. Montalto retired on June 30 after 26 years of service.
Other key changes include the promotion of Stuart Lee to senior vice president, Merchandising and General Merchandise manager, and Dawn McGuire, who has been promoted to vice president, Merchandising.
The company also announced that Judy Fisher, director of Merchandising for the Jared Division, has been promoted to divisional vice president, Merchandising – Mall Division, while Laurie Kosarik, director, Corporate Timepieces and Merchandise Planning Allocation and Development, has been promoted to divisional vice president, Merchandising – Jared Division.
Sterling also made some changes that it says “reflect the organization’s continued transition to better align with the Company’s strategic vision and corporate initiatives.” These include a new role for David Bouffard, vice president, Public Relations for Sterling, who has assumed the position of vice president, Corporate Affairs for Signet.
Akron, Ohio-based Sterling Jewelers Inc. operates more than 1,328 stores in all 50 states. It is a subsidiary of Signet Jewelers Limited, the largest specialty retailer jeweler in the U.S.and the UK.
