SMART Jewelry Show Opens in Chicago

(IDEX Online News) – The SMART Jewelry Show Chicago opened on Saturday. The show is geared primarily to American independent retail jewelers.
The fifth annual SMART Jewelry Show started the day with a keynote address by New York Times best-selling author, Martin Lindstrom.
Lindstrom, a branding and marketing expert, gave the standing-room-only audience advice on using emotion and the five senses to attract buyers.
According to Lindstrom, the best marketing a retailer can engage in is offering a unique experience and giving customers something extra — then allowing those customers to spread that story by word of mouth.
"His message was unique and intelligent — and it was delivered in an entertaining, engaging way," said Jim Reed, director of The SMART Jewelry Show. "No doubt our jewelers left with lots of notes, exciting ideas and fresh inspiration."
