Alrosa Looking To Brand, Rid Itself Of None Essentials

Following the global trend of market integration, Alrosa decided to start promoting its brand in the international market. The company is talking with some of the world's largest jewelry companies about supplying them with gems. Alrosa also plans to sell its oil pipelines and an oil refinery to Russian gas giant Gazprom, as part of its attempt to concentrate on developing its diamond business, and eliminate its minor assets not related to the core business. Vyacheslav Shtyrov, President of the Republic of Sakha-Yakutia, will meet with representatives of Alrosa and Gazprom over the matter, as the gas giant is looking to set up a joint venture, which will work at the Talakanskoye oil and Chinginskoye gas fields.
