African Diamonds Seeking Botswana Listing
January 26, 04African Diamonds, the mining company chaired by Irish businessman John Teeling, is seeking a secondary listing of its shares on the Botswana Stock Exchange.
The company is holding talks with the exchange and expects admission of the ordinary shares to take place around the middle of next month.
“Botswana, as the world’s top diamond producer, has an investment community knowledgeable about the diamond industry,” Teeling said. “As we deepen our investment in Botswana, we expect to involve local investors and this is an excellent platform.”
African Diamonds holds three prospecting licenses in Botswana.
