Belgium’s Polished Diamonds Exports Up in January

Belgian exports of polished diamonds in January rose by more than five percent in both carat and dollar terms while polished imports increased by a higher rate.
Polished exports rose last month by 5.48 percent compared to January 2003 to $575,623,762, and in carat terms rose 5.73 percent to 791,957,820.
Meanwhile, polished imports rose 14.59 percent over January last year to $638,171,482 while in carats there was a 9.01 percent increase to 1,015,603,500.
