Alrosa To Hold Annual Meeting In June

The board of directors of Russian diamond giant Alrosa has decided to hold its annual meeting on June 19.

No details were made available as to what issues would be on the agenda.

Alrosa, one of the world’s largest diamond producers with around 25 percent of global production, said Financial & Accounting Consultants Co has been recommended as 2004 auditor. PricewaterhouseCoopers has audited the company's financial reports since 1999.

 
Alrosa aims to produce diamonds worth $1.856 billion this year after its output last year totaled $1.610 billion.

Alrosa’s two main shareholders are Russia's Property Ministry with 37 percent and Yakut State Property Management Ministry with 32 percent.
