5 Carats, 2 Diamond Set Bands - Britney Spears’ Engagement Ring

Pop singer Britney Spears is engaged, and the jewelry industry naturally wants to know what her engagement ring looks like, as it will probably affect consumer tastes.

According to People magazine, who interviewed the couple, the ring has a five carat stone set on top of two thin platinum bands, set with diamonds all around. She called the ring simple and elegant, gorgeous and classic.

The young star, engaged to dancer Kevin Federline, says she picked the ring out of a collection of 10 rings suggested to them by a wedding planner.

The value of the ring is not known but the future Mr Spears apparently reacted with an ‘Oh, my God’.
