Namdeb Signs Agreement with Black Empowerment Firm
September 09, 04Namdeb has signed a memorandum of understanding with EVI Mining Company, one of the few black economic empowerment companies operating in the Namibian mining sector, to empower and involve smaller mining companies in the diamond industry.

“Namdeb is eager to involve strategic partners in the diamond industry and we are positive that this agreement will benefit both companies, as well as the country at large,” said Namdeb’s Managing Director, Inge Zaamwani.
Namdeb is jointly owned by De Beers and the Namibian government.
The companies have identified short and medium term projects and opportunities for the mining and treatment of Namdeb’s onshore and inshore diamond resources in Namdeb’s prospecting and mining license areas.
