Nichiporuk Appointed Alrosa President
December 19, 04Alrosa’s Supervisory Board appointed Alexander Nichiporuk as its new President, replacing Vladimir Kalitin, who held the post since March 2002. Nichiporuk served as first Vice President until the appointment that took effect December 16.
The board meeting in Moscow Thursday, chaired by Russian Finance Minister and Supervisory Board Chairman Alexei Kudrin, made several appointments, according to a press release.
The board of the Russian diamond miner has appointed Ernst Berezkin to replace Nichiporuk as first Vice President. Another appointment by the board is that of outgoing President Kalitin to the post of Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board and permanent Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Finally, the board appointed Yegor Borisov as First Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board on a permanent basis.
