Fairy Tale Hides Clues to Real Gem Treasures
January 25, 05‘A Treasure’s Trove: A Fairy Tale About Real Treasure for Parents and Children of All Ages’ is a fairy tale that takes place in a Great Forest and tells a story about friendship and greed, good and evil, and how love conquers all. But it also hides in it clues to real life treasures - diamonds, rubies and sapphires.

The story by Michael Stadther could have easily been a smart promotion campaign by a jewelry firm seeking to promote a mischievous or adventures brand.
In the course of the story, and perhaps in the accompanying illustrations, Stadther has left clues to finding 12 hidden treasures, all located in the continental U.S., in public places, not requiring anything to be lifted or moved, accessible to everyone and worth a total of $1 million.
Inspired by the ‘Masquerade’, a 1979 story by Kit Williams who hid a gold necklace set with rare gems in England, Stadther hid twelve 18-karat gold tokens around the country. Treasure hunters will find the tokens in easily accessible public places in, says the author.
Once you find a token, it can be redeemed for one of the valuable jewels.
One of the jewelry items, by Jewelry Designs of Danbury, Connecticut, is an ant with 4.5 carats of pave set diamonds for legs.
