Alrosa to Debut at Tokyo Show

Russian diamond miner Alrosa is participating for the first time in International Jewellery Tokyo (IJT), a trade fair opening today in Japan. Headed by VPs Sergey Oulin and Youri Dudenkov, the Alrosa delegation will hold a number of events to boost its profile.

On the agenda, today will be Alrosa day at IJT. The firm will have a presentation, hold a press conference and host a dinner.

The company is displaying a collection of its polished diamonds and diamond jewelry along with polished diamonds and jewelry by Kristall Smolensk, the biggest Russian diamond cutting and polishing company. Alrosa refers to Kristall as its “long-standing partner”.

At its booth, Alrosa will display diamond jewelry from the 'Diamond in the Russian Avant-Garde' collection, created in collaboration with Jewellery Theatre in 2001. The collection, on display in Asia for the first time, features more than 2,000 diamonds mined by Alrosa and polished by Kristall.
