It is hoped a flood of clicks will show giant retailers the power of giving and they may even decide to donate a large sum to the children's charities who aid children with catastrophic illness or life-threatening abuse and neglect.
In addition, all visitors to www.jewelry.com/child-in-need/index.html who make a donation to the charity will have the sum matched by the online jeweler.
Manufacturers of jewelry and watches, retail jewelers, trade organizations, watch companies and those who provide professional services to the jewelry industry have contributed to the JFC, with almost $14 million allocated to JFC charity partners since 1999.
