Ralfe Expects to See Angolan, Russian Operations in ‘05

“De Beers anticipates solid demand for diamond jewelry in 2005 as the U.S. economy continues to grow,” he said.
Finally, Ralfe added that De Beers hopes to close a black economic empowerment (BEE) deal by the end of the year, an issue of great importance to the South African government seeking to shift some of the country’s natural riches, mostly held by the white minority, into black hands.
