SouthernEra President and CEO Resigns
July 21, 05SouthernEra Diamonds’ President and CEO, Patrick Evans, has resigned. Executive Vice President Alasdair MacPhee has been appointed acting President and CEO until a successor is found.
Evans has held the two posts since 2001. Prior to that, he was a non-executive director of the company, and following his resignation he will resume the role of a non-executive director of SouthernEra Diamonds Inc.
Alasdair MacPhee has 25 years of diamond operating experience, 17 years of which working for De Beers. His last position with De Beers was as Technical Services Manager of Jwaneng mine, in Botswana. He joined SouthernEra in 1997.
