Alrosa Polished Diamond Output Up 9%

Alrosa's polished diamond subsidiary Brillianty Alrosa increased production by 9 percent this year. The state-owned diamond monopoly intends to intensify production in 2006 by 10 percent, said the company's director to the ITAR-TASS news agency.

“Our company's potential is not yet fulfilled,” said Alexander Novoselov of Brillianty Alrosa, adding that this year's production and sales amounted to $143.7 million.
