Dilip Mehta Resigns from HRD Board
January 12, 06Rosy Blue CEO Dilip Mehta has resigned from the HRD’s board ahead of its General Assembly, saying large players are not welcome anymore.

“I decided not to apply for a new mandate as director of HRD. I cannot recognize myself anymore in the HRD that we have seen recently in which large players are apparently not welcome anymore,” Mehta said in the release.
“One should not close the eyes for the economic realities and the market powers of today. The Antwerp diamond sector needs an organization that looks ahead and sees the opportunities in new trends instead of an organization that keeps on dreaming of the past. When the wind changes, some look for shelters, others build wind mills.”
Last week, HRD’s CEO Peter Meeus resigned. In recent months, more and more critical voices have been heard in the
