Glitz and Glamour at the Golden Globes

It was all glitz and glamour at the 63rd annual Golden Globes. Drop earrings, big diamond earrings, and big diamond watches all glittered in the California sun as the celebrities showed off their borrowed fashion statements on the red carpet.

Kate Beckinsale wore large, pendant-like drops. Drops were also the style of choice for Reese Witherspoon who accentuated her vintage Chanel gown with earrings from Fred Leighton. Geena Davis coordinated her strapless red dress by Escada with a pair of 5 carat ruby drop earrings, surrounded by 14 carats of marquise, pear shaped and round brilliant-cut diamonds from Harry Winston. An 8 carat emerald cut diamond ring with diamond side stones, also from Harry Winston, completed the look.

Taking a different style route, Gwyneth Paltrow chose chandelier earrings that matched her off-white lacy Balenciaga gown.

Mary-Louise Parker sported a lariat-like necklace and Keira Knightly was practically dripping in vintage Cartier. Her earrings, diamond hair clasp, ring and two bracelets had a combined value of $2,645,700. British actress Rachel Weisz also opted for Cartier.

Jamie Foxx sported the 6 Time Zone Watch / Pocket Watch from Jacob & Co. Since receiving the timepiece in August 2005, Jamie has been seen wearing it on several occasions.

As in previous years, Platinum Guild International hosted a jewelry suit in Los Angeles to give celebrities and their stylists the chance to outfit themselves with jewelry borrowed from over 30 houses.

The selection included, Erica Courtney, Hearts on Fire, House of Taylor, J.B. International, Jacob & Co., Neil Lane, Peter Norman & Co., Renaissance Platinum, Sheila Goldfinger and Sol Rafael.
