Israel Location for 32nd WFDB, IDMA Congress in June (Updated)

The World federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA) will hold their next congress in Israel from June 26 – 29. The congress will be attended by hundreds of guests from around the world who will discuss the issues currently facing the global industry.

The Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE), who is hosting the congress along with the Israel Diamond Institute (IDI) and the Israeli Diamond Manufacturers Association (IsDMA), expects the heads of Israeli banking to attend alongside representatives from world banking.

IDE president Avi Paz said in a release today (Sunday) that this will be a great opportunity for forging business ties with diamond dealers from around the world and displaying the might of the Israeli economy to the global diamond industry.

According to IsDMA President Moti Ganz the Israeli diamond industry is strong and attendees will have an opportunity to see it first hand.

IDI Chairman Simcha Lustig noted that the event will help promote the Israeli diamond brand project.

The WFDB congress is held every other year. It was last held in New York in 2004.
