The central African country of Angola wants to chair the African Diamonds Producers Association, which will soon be established in the capital, Luanda. Angola's intention was put forward by the Endiama diamond company administrator for geology and production area, Manuel Wat?ngua.
According to a report from the Angola Press Agency, on Wednesday, Wat?ngua left Luanda for South Africa, where he will hold meetings with local entities linked to diamonds production to seek support for the election of Angola to the role of chair of the organization.
The association, an initiative of the Angolan Government, aims to gather Africa's diamond producing countries and large distribution and production companies to guarantee the exchange of experience and inter-aid among the countries.
