JANY Special Delivery Show's in Time for the Holidays
August 28, 06
Once again this October, jewelry manufacturers and designers from around the world will convene at the third annual JANY Special Delivery Show. The will feature new JA educational programming, a "Cash & Carry" option, and global jewelry collections.
Special Delivery is becoming known in the northeastern United States as the show for retailers to avoid holiday merchandise shortages. This year’s show will take place from Sunday, October 29 through Tuesday, October 31 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York.
The show's “Cash & Carry” format allows retailers to purchase pieces directly from the show floor, providing an important outlet for exhibitors to reduce end-of-season inventory and increase year-end cash flow.
New for 2006, Special Delivery is offering educational programming with the "Just-in-Time" theme. These sessions will aid industry professionals in building their holiday business, focusing on specific pieces and volume, marketing to the customer and improving staff relations. The sessions will be presented on Sunday, October 29 from 10:30 am – 4:00 pm. Topics slated to be covered include management strategies for getting the most out of a team, training ideas, and marketing and promotions ideas.
"The past two years of JANY Special Delivery have allowed us to really focus our show to fill the important niche as a last-minute holiday resource and create an ideal buying & selling environment for our retailers and exhibitors," says Drew Lawsky, show director.
With over 450 exhibitors is to include international pavilions from Hong Kong, Italy and Thailand. Up-to-the-minute information is available at the show's website www.ja-newyork.com.
