NAJA Publishes a Client’s Bill Of Rights
November 28, 06
The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) has distributed to more than 700 NAJA members a frame-able Client’s Bills of Rights.
The bill is one of the several projects designated as a member-only benefit, a result of a six-month study of bench-marking client’s bill of rights from other like kind industries including the American Society of Quality and the American Society of Association Executives.
It contains thirteen abiding principles such as the right for the appraisal charges to be explained before the process, respect the confidentiality of the client and retaining the appraisal records for at least five years.
In separate news, NAJA announced that Carol Joy Krieks is the winner of the 2006 Conference Scholarship to attend the 27th Annual Winter Educational Conference scheduled on January 29-30, 2007 in Tucson, AZ.
Krieks is a current home study student at the Gemological Institute of America.
The NAJA Scholarship gives a gemology student a first hand experience of networking with appraisal professionals by attending the NAJA educational experience during a time when Tucson devotes itself to gems, jewelry, and minerals.
