Where Diamonds and Watches Meet
December 12, 06The collection highlighted the fusion of two arts: watch-making and diamonds. Vartkess Knadjian, managing director of Backes & Strauss in London said “cutting and polishing a superb diamond requires patience, precision and attention to detail; indeed many of the qualities of a master watch-maker.”
The watches are available in three collections: the Berkeley, the Piccadilly, and the Regent. They are crafted in either white gold or 18 carat Rose Gold and are set with ideal cut diamonds. The inspiration for the design of these watches is London’s regency architecture, particularly the work of John Nash.
Backes & Strauss has over two hundred years of experience in the business of diamonds. The Franck Muller Group is renowned for its watch-making experience.
The collection will be available this summer.
