IGI Offers Grading Course in China with NGTC
October 14, 07The International Gemological Institute (IGI) and the National Gem Testing Center (NGTC), a Chinese state-level organization for gemstone and jewelry testing, recently announced that they will begin jointly offering IGI diamond courses as well as additional IGI educational programs in China.
The inaugural program of study, which is the first full-length practical rough grading course offered in the Guangdong province, is a 10-day rough diamond course to begin in early December.
Marc Brauner, IGI CEO for the Asia Pacific region, commented, “We are confident our joint agreement will greatly contribute to the development of all aspects of the diamond industry in mainland China, and will significantly broaden the skills and knowledge base of Chinese diamond professionals.”
