Report: Fortis Taking Over ABN’s Diamond Division

Fortis Bank, one of three banks that purchased ABN AMRO, has reportedly taken over ABN’s Antwerp-based International Diamond and Jewelry Group (IDJG), according to a report in Flanders Today.

There was much speculation in the market as to the fate of the diamond division. According to JCK Online’s Rob Bates, Fortis did not deny the report, only commenting that “it's still too early to speculate.”
