Healthy activity continues to characterize trade in the U.S. market. Traders note strong demand for polished goods, as well as increasing prices. In Belgium, the first signs of a minor slowdown have begun to hit the market, but overall healthy activity continues to characterize the exchange.

 

Ramat Gan has seen an increasing number of overseas buyers, despite rising prices for polished. Traders note healthy activity in Mumbai, with a good number of local demands, and, in Hong Kong, retail sales are up and diamantaires confident in accordance with the holiday season.

 

U.S.

The U.S. market continues to report healthy activity and stronger demand for polished. Moreover, prices have been steadily increasing in accordance with last minute orders for the holiday season well underway.

 

High-quality goods in top makes are still in request, while lower end goods remain sluggish. Traders have also noted an increase in demand for fancy colored goods, and low colors are also moving well, following the trend of good clarity fancy colored stones.

Buyers continue to complain that prices are very high for polished goods, but there has been an increase in the number of overseas buyers in spite of this.
