Petra Appoints New Diamond Marketing Manager

Petra Diamonds has appointed Gregory Stephenson as diamond marketing manager, a newly created position responsible for sourcing, valuing and marketing the entirety of Petra’s rough diamond production. Stephenson will head up the pre-existing team that markets the company’s diamonds.
Beginning his career in 1989 with De Beers in London, Stephenson worked in DTC diamond sorting departments and spent an additional seven years, from 1991, in diamond buying overseas for the DTC in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Angola, Congo-Brazzaville and Antwerp. He was later posted to Johannesburg with Diamdel and the De Beers head office.
In 1999, Stephenson set up his own diamond trading business, based in Johannesburg.
