“Offer A Helping Hand” Yerushalmi Receives Exceptional Exporter Award

Yerushalmi Brothers received the 2007 Exceptional Exporter Award at a ceremony at the president’s residency in Israel on Tuesday. This is the second year in a row that the Israel-headquartered company has won the award.

The DTC Sightholding firm, managed by brothers Benny, Aaron, Zion and Nissan, has a number of polishing facilities including in Israel and China.

China is one of the company’s main markets, where it offers marketing and supply programs to retailers in second-tier cities. In addition, Yerushalmi Brothers recently opened two diamond jewelry concept stores in China, five years after the launch of their Amorosso jewelry brand in the country.

In the past year, Yerushalmi launched a number of successful marketing campaigns in China, employing a unique combination of cross platform approaches, mixing high-tech tools with billboards, radio, online and cell phone use.

In 2007, Yerushalmi exported polished diamonds from Israel worth $161 million, a rise of nearly 9 percent over the year before following a sharp increase in sales in China.

Yerushalmi reportedly ended 2007 with a sharp increase in sales in China, although the company declined to provide specific figures.

At the reception on Tuesday evening, which brokers I.Hennig held for the company, CEO Benny Yerushalmi encouraged the attendees to seek a balance between business and family – moving forward while not forgetting to extend a hand to those who need help.
