Tiffany to Restore Urban Parks through Grants
September 25, 08The Tiffany & Co Foundation, an initiative by fine jewelry company Tiffany & Co, said on Thursday it would offer grants to three organizations for the restoration of parks and gardens in their individual cities.
The grants, which range between $500,000 and $1,250,000, were offered to the Hermann Park Conservancy in
“The grants we announce today increase the Foundation’s support for the beautification of urban parks and gardens throughout the country,” said Fernanda Kellogg, president of the foundation.
“We recognize the role that green spaces and cultural sites plays in lifting spirits and providing a sanctuary of natural beauty and elegance in the midst of urban life, and we are very pleased to partner with these organizations in creating new environments and restoring historic venues.”
Tiffany & Co Foundation was established in 2000 and provides grants to nonprofit organizations working on environmental and arts projects including responsible mining, healthy marine ecosystems, and the enhancement of urban environments.
