JVC to Present U.S. Jewelry AML Programs to Third World AML Officials

Gardner, president of the Jewelers Vigilance Committee’s (JVC) will address The World Bank, Financial Market Integrity Group to present an overview of the U.S. jewelry industry’s response to government regulations requiring the industry to develop and execute anti-money laundering (AML) programs.
The October 30 presentation will be the second time Gardner addresses AML officials from approximately 16 third world and developing nations and members of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) at The World Bank’s request.
“The U.S. government has asked the jewelry industry to be alert for red flags that may indicate possible money-laundering activities. I appreciate the opportunity to share the progress the U.S. jewelry industry has made in its response to AML government regulations,” Gardner said.
