GIA Thailand to Address Economic Conditions

The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) announced that GIA Thailand is hosting its 19th GIA Gemstone Gathering, featuring guest speaker Khun Pornsit Sriorathaikul. Sriorathaikul will hold a lecture on coping with the current economic uncertainty, with a focus on the gem and jewelry industry.

Sriorathaikul, chairman of the Beauty Gems Group of Companies, is considered a key leader in the Asia jewelry market, with over 40 years of experience. He is also the senior chairman of the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association.

In his lecture, he will draw from his own experiences guiding his company through the 1997 Asian economic crisis.

GIA Thailand hosts a GIA Gemstone Gathering every month, providing an opportunity for those in the industry to network and receive insight from leading experts. This event is scheduled for Wednesday, November 26, at the Tawana Hotel in Bangkok.
