DDE Adds Diamond Boiling at Almas Tower
July 08, 09The Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) has added a state-of-the-art boiling facility in the Almas Tower. The facility was established to provide a service for local diamond companies. It is joining grading, banking and shipping services, all set up to provide the full set of supporting services needed by diamond traders.
Boiling is a process used to remove dirt and trace materials from rough and polished diamonds. The service is provided and operated by Diamond Boiling Facility DMCC (DBF).
“Market-specific infrastructure in Dubai has significantly facilitated diamond trade through the emirate,” said Peter Meeus, chairman of the board of the DDE and CEO of International Diamond Laboratories DMCC.
