Bidz.com H1 Sales Fall, International Sales Rise

2009 first half sales for Bidz.com totaled $57 million, a 45 percent decline from $104 million in the previous year, according to a securities filing. Net income for the company dropped to $2.1 million in the six month period, down from $8.2 in the first half of 2008.

The company – an online retailer of jewelry, featuring a live auction format – reported sales revenues generated from the United States accounted for approximately $38.6 million, a decrease from 75.7 percent to 67.8 percent  of total sales. International sales totaled $18.4 million and increased their share of sales to 32.2 percent of all sales, up from 24.3 percent 

According to the filings, the company has no debt and no outstanding payments on its revolving credit line.
