The limited edition publication takes the form of a luxurious coffee-table book. Inside it are chapters that examine the range of fancy colors of diamonds, as well as issues of grading, clarity, the challenges of cutting fancy color diamonds and the role of fluorescence in determining the value of fancy color diamond.
“The uniqueness of this book is that it provides in-depth commercial, as well as technical information about fancy color diamonds, and diamonds in general, written in a user-friendly manner,” said Rachminov, a third generation diamond trader. “It is meant to assist in closing any fancy color diamond deal. It is especially useful for the experienced diamantaire but no doubt would be of interest to the private diamond high-end consumer.”
Among the book’s many contributors are Bill Boyajian, former president of the GIA, and IDEX Online’s Editor-in-Chief Edahn Golan, who wrote about the financial value of fancy color diamonds.
The book will be provided as a special value-added service to clients of Rachminov Diamonds 1891, and a limited supply will also be available for sale. Proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to the International Save the Children Alliance.
