WGC Appoints DTC Vet to Lead Gold Jewelry Marketing

Lamb will be based in New York, be a member of the WGC’s leadership team and will report directly to WGC CEO Aram Shishmanian.
During his time with the DTC, Lamb was involved with the marketing initiatives that promoted consumer demand for diamond jewelry, such as the Trilogy concept, which according to the WGC Lamb devised.
Prior to joining the DTC, Lamb had spent more than 20 years at international advertising agencies, notably JWT Worldwide where he was executive vice president and held various leadership positions including head of worldwide account planning and finally head of multinational clients.
“I am sure his vision and depth of experience will help re-invigorate the premium gold jewelry market in the United States and guide the continued growth of the markets in China, India and the Middle East,” said Shishmanian.
In addition to his global responsibility for jewelry, Lamb will assume the U.S. jewelry responsibilities of the departing U.S. Managing Director, John Calnon, who recently retired after more than 15 years with the company.
