Birks Offers Direct Payment from Customers' Bank Accounts
July 06, 10In an effort to make buying from its website even easier, Canadian luxury jewelry brand Birks today announced that it has set up a facility allowing its Internet customers to pay for their online purchases directly from their bank accounts.

The service, Interact Online, is integrated with the client's existing online bank account. Transactions are authorized within the client's online banking website so that personal financial information, such as a credit card number, is never disclosed to Birks, the merchant, or to any third party.
"The Birks website is continually improving and so we are pleased to now offer our clients another method of payment that is extremely secure and easy-to-use," said Thomas Andruskevich, president and CEO of Birks & Mayors Inc. in a press release issued by the company.
Birks & Mayors, Inc. operates 64 luxury jewelry stores in the United States and Canada.
