India Exports $567 Million in Polished Diamonds in July

India’s gross polished diamonds exports in July totaled $1.68 billion, according to data published Wednesday by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), a 36.8 percent increase. The volume of exports, 4.74 million carats, increased 12.3 percent.
Polished diamond imports of $1.12 billion resulted in net exports of $567.1 million.
The average value of gross exports stood at $354.09 per carat, while imports averaged $344.81 p/c.
