Botswana’s Diamond Exports Keep Growing

(IDEX Online News) - Botswana exported $307.9 million worth of diamonds in October, a 63.7 percent increase from October 2009 and a 24.4 percent month-over-month increase, based on figures released today by the Bank of Botswana.

The October exports are inline with the level of exports in October 2008.

In the first ten months of 2010, Botswana exported $2.36 billion worth of diamonds.

The average monthly value of Botswana’s exports this year is $236.1 million, almost 50 percent more than the average monthly exports in 2009.
