Venus Jewel Launches New Online Sales Tool

- Indian diamond manufacturer Venus Jewel is expanding the amount of information it’s providing about the diamonds it sales. The ‘Diamond DNA’ provides such minute details, the firm says it makes it as good as viewing the actual stone itself.

 

According to a Venus press release, the Diamond DNA offers clients:

·         The ‘diamond diagram,’ which provides a profile view of the diamond and its measurements along with details of how the parameters were calculated.

·         A ‘diamond description’ showing the 18 separate attributes of the Venus Grading System (VGS) certificate.

·         A high-resolution digital image of the stone.

·         A plotting image that gives specific positions of the stone’s inclusions.

·         An ‘ASET image’ that uses the stone’s angular spectrum to display and evaluate its optical performance.

·         American Gem Society (AGS) cut grades. This additional listing of the stones attributes according to AGS specifications is aimed at allowing clients to make onward sales with an established set of criteria.

 

A Venus spokesman told IDEX Online that the Diamond DNA details could be downloaded from the company’s website and passed to downstream customers.

 

The company is renowned for the accuracy and transparency of the details they provide clients about their diamonds, which allowed them to develop a successful online wholesale platform.

 

According to Venus Partner Anil Shah, “In online selling, providing maximum transparency on the website is what really counts. Rather than being driven by competition, our objective has always been to continually innovate. Rather than making the online buying experience rocket science, we aim to make it a simple process as well as an enjoyable and confidence-building experience.”

 

The company is a DTC Sightholder, a Rio Tinto Select Diamantaire and BHP Billiton as well as an authorized supplier of the diamond programs run by mining companies such as the DTC’s Forevermark, Rio Tinto’s Mine of Origin and BHP Billiton’s Canada Mark.
