De Beers Diamond Jewellers Opens In Kazakhstan

(IDEX Online News) – De Beers Diamond Jewellers recently opened a store in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The new boutique is located on Bogenbai Batyr, the city’s premier shopping location for luxury brands.

The Almaty store will be operated by Premier Metro Group, whose core business is the retail and distribution of luxury goods including jewelry, watches, cars, high-end mobile phones as well as fine wines.

“Our opening in Almaty demonstrates the growing demand for De Beers Diamond Jewellery globally, beyond traditional markets,” said François Delage, CEO of De Beers Diamonds Jewellers. “We look forward to working with Premier Metro Group. Their expertise in luxury retail in Kazakhstan makes them the perfect partners for De Beers.”

The new store was officially opened on July 2, and was celebrated with a private party for 250.

De Beers Diamond Jewellers, a partnership between LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton and De Beers, has other stores including on Old Bond Street in London, Fifth Avenue in New York, Printemps and Galeries Lafayette in Paris, Shin Kong Place in Beijing, The Landmark in Hong Kong and Ginza in Tokyo.
